Listening to audiobooks is a great way to introduce reading in children who are under the age of 5. Research tells us that by listening to audiobooks, non-readers are able to start comprehending narratives by listening to the way a story is arranged. This is a fundamental skill that will encourage reading comprehension as a child begins deciphering printed words.
